File:The comments on a Japanese….png (367.64 KB,794x2985)

 No.33889

I do my best to stick my head in the sand while using X and only browse Japanese content, but for most of 2024 now anytime a Japanese thread goes viral the comments are just drowned out in Indian engagement farmers posting machine translated Japanese from whatever it is they speak. And then on top of all this they samefag and don't even get punished for it since they have that stupid checkmark. They do this on Earthquake and Typhoon threads and disrupt real people's attempt at communicating the situation.

I hate the entire subcontinent and wish they had some government elite get into a stupid spat with Musk like that Brazilian judge did and get the entire subcontinent blacklisted already.

 No.33890

At least up until two weeks ago, when my access to the Japanese was suddenly curtailed by judicial decisions, I found that blocking them usually reduced the annoyance. The fact that they samefag hard makes it that when I block one a lot of posts disappear, and eventually X-witter just stopped showing them to me. Though I don't really browse a lot on like-heavy enviroments, where this might be a worse problem. And I don't really know how things are right now.

i wonder, do they have guides or something telling them to do this? like the one with editing a readme to add a project to your github

Well this was a waste of time. When they mean muted words, it's just that: words. Not the name field. I still see Singhs and other names in large Japanese threads.
This shouldn't have to be so tedious.

I do block them but this is India man it's like trying to avoid breathing in specific molecules of air or dodging raindrops.

They probably coord on both X and Telegram.

yeah though i don't know how they came to the conclusion that this was a good idea especially since the engagement looks to be negligible

 No.33894

ok I think I have made a dent in them. Haven't noticed any in a while anywhere I check trending.

 No.33895

I don't want to say it but the whole subcontinent is a disaster for the human race, nothing good comes from India.

people say antisemitism is spiking but MAN antijeetism is really what's gaining tons of ground

 No.33897

indians are a new thing to the cultural annoyances, but the whole "is Islam better than Judaism!" thing has been going on for centuries

 No.33898

Ah, yeah, Indians gaining access to the internet by the hundreds of millions has been an... interesting thing. There's good people obviously, but the sheer amount of scammers and other undesirables feels unprecedented. If 1% of them are terrible people and the population is 1.4 billion...
With AI one of them can appear to be 5000, too, as twitter's bot issue is well known.
Well, twitter sucks, so that's nothing new.
