A, well here we go.
A psycho is in charge of what's considered illegal for internet companies to do

Well he is a commissioner for the FCC so he is probably more qualified than the people Trump has picked for other roles.
Trumps cabinet looks terrible, though it has to pass the senate first at least. It seems like most of the people he is picking are deliberately there to destroy the departments they are responsible for but that seems to be the point, this incoming government looks quite libertarian.

Real libertarianism has never been tried

A pedophile/sex pest being apointed head of attorney general is kinda just like terrible for Americans and in the grand scheme along with the other trash picks just going to galvanize everyone.

But the problem with some of these appointees is how Western nations are almost obliged to follow along with the US positions on things such as Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, China, Russia
If the US throws it's political and financial weight behind promoting oligarchy, theocracy, fascism then it's going to be tough for others who don't want that even if they live abroad.
The "moderate" democratic funders basically gave up because they would rather someone attacks China than promote civil stability.

The US isn't even in a strong financial position to beat China anyways. It can only cut itself from markets and replicate brexit

>pedophile/sex pest
but that's all politicians

Western nations aren't obliged to follow the US and they actually don't. Look at the position most western nations have on Palestine and Cuba for example. Ukraine is a bit different as the US is the largest supporter of Ukraine and they are losing even with that support, so I don't see how Europe will prop Ukraine up by itself.

Trade is also much more important to most nations than it is to the US and so most nations don't want to follow the Trump on what he wants to do and instead they are talking with each other to mitigate what damages will be caused by his tariffs. The same situation is happening with green energy.

Countries do actually manage themselves and they have their own concerns both internally and externally and they are not related to the USA. The problem isn't going to be USA and it's political and financial weight, instead the problem is going to be social media and what kind of social media political ideas will be exported outside the USA and picked up by common people who might vote for parties that support such social media political ideas. But even that is probably overstated, I can see migration concerns being exported(because in many countries they are actually a concern) but not abortion(there were a few politicians in Australia that flirted with that idea but were shut down by their party) or green energy.

Though having said all this, there still are going to be some policies that the rest of the world will have to adapt too. If the US lowers corporate tax the rest of the world will face pressure to do the same in order to stay competitive.

If i can make one example where many countries have to follow the US: Interest rates.

And thank god the elected has no say over the federal reserve

 No.34970

True. Many economists are saying Trump's policies are likely to cause inflation and keep interest rates on hold. That's going to annoy me even in the country where I am because I do want to buy a house soon.

The fed should be nationalized though.

Just like Argentina and many other failed economy ok.

I don't like the fact that it is an independent organization and it should be under the control of the US (under the executive branch).
Argentina is doing fine though.

America is so finished. There's never been a good situation where democracy controls economy.

 No.35393

The fed didn't exist before 1913 and America was doing fine for all those years. Congress is supposed to be the only wing of the Government that can mint coinage.

Anyone that thinks the fed is a good thing has no idea how the economy really works (hint: it's bullshit designed to enslave you and everyone you know)

is this some type of satire
