You know even good artists struggle to be recognized. As long as you enjoy what you do. Also keeping in mind that doing what you love for a living turns it into something you hate.

In the typical societal sense productivity is when you generate wealth for those richer than you or when the wealthy push money around in stock markets and stuff without contributing anything. But on an individual basis productivity is when you do something to improve the life of someone, including yourself. It can be something typical like volunteering, but also something that doesn't seem to qualify at first glance like streaming a game that people enjoying watching, doing art stuff or even making good posts on the internet. Just a little something to make life more bearable for others.

See, the REAL reason you’re stressed out anyways is because you’re using "productivity", an economic term, as a way to validate your existence. Trees can be productive, machines can be productive, but the usage of this term is single-faceted and dehumanizing. You’re reducing the entirety of their existence to capital. A tree or a machine is much more than the wealth they produce.
Kids (the REAL ones we all used to be) don’t value their lives based on productivity and they’re EXTREMELY happy, and the ones that do we consider to be done great harm and robbed of their childhood, yet we’re expected to value our lives this manner. (Childhood isn’t necessarily an ideal they can be extremely brutal and unforgiving)
The obsession with productivity is a way for societies to reduce you into another cog in the machine.
You should do things because you want to do them, or because you feel an inner interest. Validation comes from within not without.

As an aside it makes me hopeful to see more and more imageboard users entrenching in their interests and refusing to participate. And I find it incredibly amusing that the system is but barely beginning to realize that it’s impending self-destruction as more and more slip through the cracks.
