Strong start for generic fantasy anime. The show had some good animation, funny faces, and decent enough fan service, for the genre, but otherwise isn't too amazing. I didn't like that the school nurse's office is basically just a typical modern anime nurse's office, complete with the nurse in a lab-coat and short skirt.
The end of the first episode really caught my attention. It seems to be an allegory for the MC getting married to the redhead. The ritual, forming a pact with the fire demon represents their wedding ceremony. And after this ritual the MC carries her (naked body) away to, presumably, consummate their marriage. Her change in hair and personality in the follow scene, cements her change as an woman reliant on her family (the demon sword) to a now part of a cooperative union between husband and wife.
Thinking about this, makes me wonder how many other harem anime have allegories for marriage between the MC and his harem that I wasn't actively looking for.

What a confusing flesh-colored outfit. Yeah, I had this one downloaded so I'll give it a watch soon

Alright, I watched it. It's pretty generic as expected, but fails to be interesting to me.
The butts are indeed very nice, but nothing else grabs me.
It's too bad that the girls don't have nipples. I like it when breasts have nipples on them. It's been a great year for butts, but a bad one for nippled breasts.

It could be that they add nipples to the BDs when they come out. But as of now the fanservice is pretty good.

I think I'll consider myself interested for now because the anime is so unabashedly ecchi battle-shounen, and it's been a while I think since the last one of those. Also I'm all for a more hot-blooded MC instead of the usual pushover. The marriage allegory is interesting since it looks like on the cover of this there's only one real main girl. Others could come in of course, but I wonder if the relationship between him and the main girl will be kept special like that or if something similar will happen for each girl he 'collects'.

I was just reminded that Eiyuu Bushitsu isn't the only "Magic Academy" anime this season. But despite the spectacle in the first episode of Nanatsu no Maken, it was this anime that I remembered into today. I think it's because while EiyuBu is generic, it's not so generic that I forget about it. Only thing I remember about pic related is pic related and that it has a Kenshin ripoff.

The OP and ED are pretty good for this, though. And I read a spoiler that the story is basically MC is like Cid from Kage (in terms of underworld influence) but it's a twist and played more straight as a revenge plot which seems interesting enough for me to continue this to the end. Also I still like the girls.

The biggest reason I remember it is that the name reminded me of Eiyuuou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu. What even does Eiyuu/Eiyuuou even mean and how is it different from something like Yuusha? Is it like the difference between legend and hero?

 No.111247

>>111246
Eiyuu = one who has achieved heroic feats
Yuusha = brave one
Ou = king (so, eiyuuou = king of heroes)

In a Dragon Quest game, at the beginning of the game the hero is a yuusha, but not (yet) an eiyuu.

Interesting, the difference is more of an actions vs characteristics thing. I'll have to keep that distinction in mind as I watch shows and see if how characters are called changes throughout a show.

yeah yuusha is literally brave-person, 勇者
英雄's nuance isn't as obvious though (also it's a different yuu)
